Taste of Uptown – October 12, 2016, 6-9pm

A Culinary Celebration of Chicago’s Uptown

The first annual Taste of Uptown is an event that celebrates Uptown’s amazing cultural and culinary diversity. Participants can travel the world by sampling Ethiopian, Thai, Chinese, and Mexican in one night. Explore long-standing Uptown favorites like Crew and Baker and Nosh, along with brand-new establishments, like Kāl’ish and My Chocolate Soul.

Participants will receive a passport to track their culinary journey.

Plus, $5 from each ticket sale will be donated to Inspiration Corporation, an Uptown organization helping those who are homeless increase their self-sufficiency.

Baker and Nosh

UU-BN About: Since 2012, Baker & Nosh has been serving delicious pastries, sandwiches, and breads. Every item in the bakery is hand made daily to ensure top-notch quality.

Emerald City Coffee

La Ciudad Mexican Cafe & Grill

-1About: Located in Uptown for 6 years, La Ciudad is inspired and was created in honor of the owner, Hugo De La Rosa’s, mother. Every dish or recipe is a favorite childhood memory for him. Uptown is an area of diversity, and Hugo wanted to bring something fun and inviting to all its inhabitants. La Ciudad bills itself as “not your normal taqueria” and a “Hidden Gem of Uptown.”
