Listen Lead Share: Conversations on Clean Energy in Uptown
The Future Energy Jobs Act (FEJA), which passed with strong bipartisan support in 2016, positioned Illinois to become a clean energy leader. Now, it’s up to us to make sure that quality jobs, equity, and economic opportunity are at the heart of the clean energy future.
ICA is hosting a conversation on clean energy for the Uptown community in support of IL CleanJobs’s Listen. Lead. Share campaign.
We’ll discuss the four main pillars of the Clean Energy Jobs Act (CEJA): 1) Promoting jobs and economic opportunity; 2) Putting Illinois on a path to 100% renewable energy by 2050; 3) Reducing the equivalent of 1 million gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles from the road; and 4) Achieving a carbon-free power-sector by 2030. This discussion will be an opportunity to explore how these four pillars could impact the Uptown community.
This event is free and open to public, but please register at bit.ly/ICA_LLS_Uptown
