Standing in Solidarity
June 2, 2020 | Posted by Justin Weidl
We stand in solidarity with our black neighbors, friends, and colleagues. We are resolute in the fact that black lives matter.
Many of us, and our communities, are hurting. The senseless loss of life of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and many others before them is unjust. We stand in solidarity with our black neighbors, friends, and colleagues. We are resolute in the fact that black lives matter.
We want all of our members and partners to know that we are focusing on how we can best help and serve during this time. We will continue to provide updates and information for our Uptown community.
Below is a list of black-owned neighborhood businesses who could use your support right now, along with ways you can volunteer time if you are interested. We know that racism, systematic injustice, and violence make it much harder for black entrepreneurs to start and grow businesses and organizations than their white counterparts.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch, we welcome your ideas and insights, too. We are greater together.
