The 2nd Annual Uptown Art Week will feature over 150 pieces of public art including more than 40 new works going up on walls around the neighborhood, art exhibits being hosted by local businesses, live paintings, and interactive art activities for all ages. You can use our interactive map below to do a self-guided tour around Uptown and to locate a variety of Uptown business activations. Each stop on the map is complete with photos and information which you can find by clicking on each icon.

Uptown Art Fair
Join Uptown United & Chicago Market on Sunday, August 8 from 10:00am - 4:00pm for the one-day Uptown Art Fair as part of this year's week-long event! Local artists will set-up booths to display and sell their artwork. The fair will take place inside the Chicago Market at 4620 N Broadway (corner of Wilson & Broadway).
MASKS REQUIRED: Following guidance from the CDC, based on Chicago’s current local COVID-19 data, CDPH recommends businesses, employers, and event organizers require universal masking in all public indoor settings.
In addition, Truman College will also be hosting an art fair on their outdoor patio at the corner of Wilson & Racine from 11:00am - 2:30pm. View and purchase artwork from Truman's students!

This interactive art practice will visually capture the collective movement of the yoga practice. As the class aligns breath & movement while wearing colored ribbons on their limbs, their yogic flow will be traced by the artist with acrylic paint on transparent canvas. Following the movement of one limb & respective color at a time, & then layering each together, this live-painting yoga practice creates a piece of artwork that embodies collective motion, captured. And in preparation for Back To School for the children staying at Cornerstone, we are accepting new school supplies and backpacks.
