For a century, Uptown has been the city’s top entertainment destination, hosting silent film stars, then a hub of 1920s’ movie palaces and more recently, legendary music venues. Explore this rich history with FREE monthly tours! These hour-long tours are led by knowledgeable local docents from Choose Chicago’s Neighborhood Greeter program. Tours meet at Provisions Uptown and leave at 1pm and 2pm. Tours will take place rain or shine. There is no limit on the number of spots for each tour and there is no need to register. Just show up and enjoy!

Take a Guided Tour of the renowned architect George Maher’s mansions on Hutchinson Street on Saturday, June 1.  The 30-minute sidewalk tours showcase these architecturally significant homes. In many ways this street and the architecture put Buena Park on the map.

Buena Park Neighbors offers free walking tours of the neighborhood that highlights the history, architecture and special features of our Chicago Landmark District. 

Meet at the northeast corner of Hutchinson and Hazel starting at 1:00.

Buena Park Neighbors is a 46th Ward neighborhood association of more than 200 residents, businesses and not-for-profit organizations in the nationally registered Buena Park Historic District. Its mission is to improve the quality of life for everyone in Buena Park.
